(2010 & UP) Lexus GX460 Step Sliders

Designing a true rock slider for the GX460 with KDSS/AHC created a unique set of challenges. Limited frame rail space, tight body and frame orientation, and limited fastener locations all reduce strength of a traditional slider. But we love a challenge.
BudBuilt sliders begin with the strongest foundation in the industry, 3/8" thick, that runs the full height of the frame rail. This foundation works in conjunction with factory welded captive nuts inside of the frame rail to appropriately move stress up and down the frame rail during impact. We have seen too many frames buckled inward from other sliders that do not distribute the 460's crushing load appropriately.
Building on our frame plates, four (4) 1.75" .125 DOM steel legs with additional reinforcing gussets solidly mount the frame plate to the main tube. Our main tube is constructed of 2" .125 DOM steel tube, providing a rock solid, smooth sliding surface, as well as maximizing ground clearance under your low hanging rocker panel. Continuing from the main tube, the outer tube is constructed of 1.75" .125 DOM steel tube with smooth angles to stand up to constant abuse and not hang up on rocks. Four (4) additional reinforcement 1.5" .125 DOM steel tube legs tie the main and outer tubes together, creating a total of six (6) connecting points. This design further increases rigidity and strength across the entire slider. Total distance from the GX460's frame to the outer tube is 16".
